Paradox interactive is a company of Swedish people making games that should be worth $15, making the bare basics cost $20 and the complete come in hundreds of dollars worth of DLC. They are best known for making historical games, although they have made plenty of other games such as Stellaris.
Crusader Kings
One of the most famous paradox interactive titles, known for being the deformed lovechild of The Sims and Civilization. The fans got super excited about being capable of fucking a horse (Yes, really). The game gets constant praise for doing the same tasks over and over four hours until it reaches 1453.
Recently a new installation of the game, Crusader Kings 3, has been released. The game itself introduces new game aesthetics and mechanics, such as 3D full-body character modelling, therefore you'll be able to not only fuck your sister like a real crusader king, but also see her tits in 3D
Hearts of Iron 4
A game that allows you to play as Hitler, thus making it one of the few paradox games that encourages you to play as the good guy.
The game is notable for having several mods where fans can make their own alternate history settings. One of these is The New Order Last Days of Europe, a work of utopian fiction set in a world where Hitler won WWII and the player has to avoid nuclear war. It was made by a guy named PinkPanzer, who asked Vaush for help in making the game (no srsly). Another mod is Kaiserreich Legacy of the Weltkrieg, where Germany wins WWI, Britain & France have syndicalist revolutions, and the Entente tries to retake their homelands from their colonies all the while Germany tries to remain on top of the world stage.
Europa Universalis 4
Lots of DLCs that do absolutely nothing, although the game does allow you to genocide Natives for getting in the way of America.
Victoria 2

Lets you rape Africa and Asia in order to build an empire. Then the game becomes unplayable because after 1870 you'll be up to your ass in rebels every 5 minutes. Those rebels are also harder to get rid of than cockroaches.
Stellaris
A sci-fi game that rips off Spore's space stage. Most fans want to fuck the aliens involved.
