Concord
IT GOT SHUT DOWN ONLY 2 WEEKS AFTER RELEASE OLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL |
Concord was a mediocre $40 woke Overwatch clone developed by Sweet Baby Firewalk Studios, a subsidiary of Sony, and released for the PlayStation 5 and PC. Being developed over the course of 8 years with an approximate budget of $100M, it was released on August 23, 2024 to an all-time high player count of 660; before Sony announced they were shutting down the game 3 days later on September 3. It is the biggest flop in gaming history as of the time of writing; with at least $100M lost.
Get Woke, Go Broke
The game was developed to cater to "modern audiences"; and it showed as the robot had pronouns and the heckin cute and valid BIPOC transkween character was based off an IRL niggertranny. This was enough to make gaming journalists deflect any and all criticism of this game to le racist chuds; but in typical gaming journaliist fashion they ended up doing nothing and the game still flopped, HARD.
FACT ALERT: The game itself was in development for around eight years. |
