Eventually he got too old for Shotacat, and couldn't make any more money, so then he cashed in by reporting all his financiers to the FBI and achieving a 15 minutes of fame by pretending he regretted making easy cash.

In 2005 an older gentleman named Kurt claiming to be a music producer approached him and paid him a couple thousand dollars. It totally wasn't for sexual favours. Rather, it was so that the mysterious Mr. Eichenwald could go to the papers if he had to.

The following year, Berry got even more publicity and money by going on the Oprah show. She later enacted a massive coverup by deleting everything on her website referring to her interaction with Berry.

He then became good friends with Oprah's moustached friend Doctor Phil and got to be on his show in May 2012. There, the two compared Berry's suffering with a girl who was kidnapped, chained up in a basement, and raped. WITHOUT PAY. Nobody, not even the girl victim, seemed to mind this equating.
