Shirley Lowery is an angry RSO activist and former CEO of SOSEN. She is the mother of a convicted sex offender. Her son, Anthony Craig Oliver, plead guilty to 3 counts of sexually assaulting his daughter and received a 20 year prison sentence for each count. He lost his appeal.
Lowery is best known for denying the traumatic effects of child sexual abuse and always blaming the victim for their abuse. She believes that the majority of people convicted of sex crimes are innocent or that the victim could have merely said 'no' and thus the crime could have been prevented. She has a personal vendetta against John Walsh and Mark Lunsford and claims that they are responsible for the suffering and pain that registered sex offenders must endure. She has gone so far as to insinuate that Mark Lunsford was responsible for his own daughter's death or that his daughter entered into a suicide pact with John Couey.
Shirley Lowery became active in SOSEN when her and a few others were forced to leave the SOhopeful International organization. She was instrumental in building SOSEN by lending support and being a mentor to the founder David Scott Coffman. When he left SOSEN he turned the keys over to Shirley making her essentially the owner as well as the CEO. In much the same fashion as she alienated SoHopeful, SOSEN, under Shirley's direction soon fell apart. After hitting the online sex offender community by storm by writing a series of scathing articles she submitted and had published on the American Chronicle website, her own SOSEN group began to grumble as Shirley brought embarrassment and shame upon them with her constant attacks on victims and survivors. In a late night clandestine meeting, dubbed a "throat cutting" by Shirley, the board of directors voted her out and subsequently locked her out of all forums and accounts. Some of the members feared for their own safety citing Shirley’s vindictive streak and are even now trying to rebuild a support community for those who want to protect child sexual abusers.
When Shirley was first booted from SoHopeful, the director, Carolyn issued a press release in which she said:
S.O.S.E.N. is a splinter group founded by disgruntled former members of SOhopeful International. Their worldview is totally distorted and their methods are deplorable. We therefore publicly withdraw any support or affiliation from said organization. We use responsible, rational and legal means to accomplish our goals and do not need to resort to belligerence or misquoting statistics out of context.
Shortly before Shirley's fall from power she released another American Chronicle article titled “No More Victims Act 2007”. She requested all RSO activists to post it everywhere, "even if they didn't understand the politics of it". It was found to be an almost exact duplicate of a plan for activism first proposed by Dylan Thomas of BoyChat.

On Jessica Lunsford, a 9-year-old girl who was abducted, raped and murdered in 2005 by John Couey:
We don't know how she encountered Couey but I feel no resistance and no fear on Jessica's part. She was not the 70 pound child that was described on posters. Instead, she was 90+ pounds and a well-developed young lady.. She would have had to be very quiet to get past Dorothy, Matt, Madie, Gene and Joshua who were all at home in the single wide mobile home across the way.
The following morning all of these people awoke to the sound of helicopters. These residents rushed around, trying to figure out what was happening and all 3 TV sets were turned on. Jessica hid in the closet keeping the door ajar just a crack so she could watch the search on TV. Later all of the residents left and she continued to hide and watch the search on TV.
We don't know how long she watched. It would be interesting to know if she saw her dad telling the story of he and Jessica being abandoned and alone and how he had become the sole caretaker.
Jessica was not tortured and her death comes across more as an assisted suicide than a murder. There were no drugs or alcohol in her system and only her wrists were bound. She had not strained to try and free her arms. She could have easily kicked through the plastic bags but she did not. There were no tears, rips or even stretch marks. It looks as if she stepped into the bags of her own accord, squatted down and waited for death. There was no hand stretching upward as if asking foe [sic] help.
Did she and this crazy nab have some sort of pact. There is mention of a couple of letters found at the site where she was found. Handwriting samples were taken from Couey.

Parents are passing their warped views on to their children. Children are taught that anything inappropriate that happens to them is the fault of someone else.
Jesus was a pedophile although his actions were not illegal at the time. Laws have changed but it is not likely that God has changed what He considers to be a sin. He got it right the first time.

This is the first step in a bigger plan where each of us will have many voices. Public forums are not the place to lay out the details of a game plan. We have learned from professionals that there are benefits to padding a registry. It inflates a problem to gigantic proportions. Why not inflate the opposition to useless laws?
I grew up in an abusive home and I kept my mouth shut. Now that I am older and wiser I know without a doubt that I did the right thing then and would do the same again. Virtue has little meaning to a child who likes a roof over their head and food to put in their belly.
John Walsh is not the only person to lose a child under tragic circumstances. He has been in a rage for a quarter of a century. Now we are being asked to pick up an astronomical tab to immortalize his son. If I pay it will be because you agree to it and it locks me in. Personally, I wouldn’t give a dime. I learned what manure is a long time ago so I walk around it rather than stepping in it
