David S. Coffman AKA karaokedavid82 is a convicted sex offender from Florida who founded the original SOSEN Website and organization as a result of becoming disgruntled with his membership within the SOhopeful group.
Coffman served as a state representative through the SOhopeful organization, when a friend of his, who was also serving as a state representative, was removed from his duties. Coffman then decided to branch out on his own to form what is now known as the SOSEN group. As the group grew, Coffman turned over his duties as CEO to Shirley Lowery, who eventually handed the reins over to Linda Pehrson, the current President and CEO of the group.
Originally from St. Louis, MO, Coffman moved to Florida, where he was convicted of lewd or lascivious battery against a 15 year old boy. Coffman claims, as many sex offenders do, that the child was lying about his age, that the boy had been having sex since he was 10 years old, etc. He says that he has accepted responsibility for his actions, that he is not a pedophile and that professionals have evaluated him and determined that he is not someone who is likely to re-offend; therefore, he should not, in his opinion, be held to the requirement to register as a sex offender. Coffman claims to be unable to hold a full-time job as a result of his public registration and that it has left him poor and depressed. Coffman lives with his partner, another convicted sex offender who was his co-defendant in the same case Coffman was charged with. Coffman earns money soliciting donations on his music parody site and by selling items through a CafePress store online. He has stated many times that he has a strong desire to leave the United States to live in Canada.

I don't deny that I had sex with a 15 year old when I was 20, however if you read the entire case script or the florensic physichiatrist report, yes the case-not just me saying it-you'd know that this kid had been having sex since the age of 10. You would know this kid had a crush on me for quite some time and admits lying about age.

Our Investigation
- We first discovered that someone with the name David C. was the original founder of SOSEN and that for quite some time he claimed to be the sole owner/operator of the site.
- David C. set up a message board for the SOSEN site members, using the screen name "karaokedavid82" as his membership name for the free message board. In addition, he listed his e-mail address as being [email protected].
- Searches using his screen name yielded several sites which were music related and matched his previously expressed interest in karaoke, writing parodies, etc. In several of his profiles, he listed his location as being the Tampa, Florida area.
- One of our volunteers searched through Florida sex offender records and came across David Coffman, whose information matched all other information we had on David C. AKA karaokedavid82. The photo of David Coffman was a match to images that karaokedavid82 had posted of himself on one of his music sites, in addition to being a perfect match with the karaokedavid82 screen name used on both the SOSEN site and the Soundclick site.

My roomate at the time was there when it happened, he know lives with me and we have become a couple because of what has transpired during this case. He was a co-defendant in this case, because they did engage in sexual activity as well, but his case is a lot like my own. He is not a member of sexcriminals, or any other anti-sex offender site for that matter and spends very little time on SOSEN, he is just focused on paying off his fees and moving on with his life. The reason I do all this is because I don't think we can move on with our lives if these type of laws continue.
The other issue is with serial child molestors. Child molestors differ greatly from rapists. Pedofiles have an unnatural attraction towards children. They feel love towards children and have no desire to harm them. These feelings are hard to control, but at the same time mean that the chance of a true pedofile going out in the streets and picking a random victim are next to none. These type of offenders want to be around children because they care for them and have feelings towards them. Do those who are paralyzed from the waste down stop having feelings towards other people?
No! If they are in love with children, castrating them does nothing. I'd go into greater detail on these two types of sex offenders, but if I do I may eventually run out of things to talk about.
