Chimpo AKA Frank Rey Lucero is a convicted sex offender who is serving time for child sexual abuse and rape. Eight potential victims have surfaced so far between the ages of 7 and 14 years old, and according to authorities, there could be more. He was a regular poster on BoyChat and a member of the Free Spirits Coalition, as well as LifeLine, Open Hands and Somersault's Forums.
Prior to his arrest, Lucero was known for posting quite openly about his relationships with young boys. He had somehow managed to coerce several boys to come live with him at various times, claiming that the parents were unfit. Although he never came right out and stated that the relationships were sexual, it was strongly implied, even to the point that he had commented that his former YFs should speak out to show the world that they are better for having been involved with a pedophile. When posting online, Lucero used a signature image on at least one site which was a photo of himself kissing a young boy on the mouth, an obvious flaunt of his pedophilia.
It should also be noted that Frank was friends with another convicted sex offender, Phillip DiStasio, who was known at BoyChat by the screen name Sparks. DiStasio is currently serving a life sentence in Ohio as a sexually violent predator.

They have yet to establish probable cause to believe they may find something illegal, most simply because there is nothing illegal to find, har!
Our Investigation
- We began looking into the BoyChat member known as Chimpo when we learned of his arrest for production and possession of child pornography.
- As we looked into his posts, we discovered that he was on several sites, using a variety of screen names which he openly linked to himself.
- All of our information has been obtained through his posts online, through media attention, and from other anti-pedophile activists. Because he is incarcerated for such a lengthy amount of time, no further follow-up will be done unless his situation changes and/or he is released from prison.

Frank Rey Lucero (DOB 3-23-68) of Midvale, who pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in September to transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and using an interstate facility to transmit the name of a minor for enticement, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Tena Campbell to 20 years in prison in January. Lucero admitted he transported a minor from Nevada to Utah so he could engage in sexual conduct with the 16-year-old. The FBI, Midvale and Salt Lake City Police Departments, the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office, and the U.S. Attorney's Office participated in the investigation and prosecution of the case against Lucero.
