Lulzcon 2008 will be the 3rd annual ED sponsored convention of those in favor of lulz. However, a lot of things need to be resolved. Most importantly, where it's gonna be held and who's gonna do the planning. So we enter stage 1 of Lulzcon 2008 planning: Where and by who? ARE THERE ANY MANSIONS OUT THERE?

Put what city you think it should be at (add new sections if you like) and put if you would be willing to take charge and plan this shit up in here.

If you are too stupid to remember to put your name or ~~~~ people will probably laugh at you and then not count your vote.

Voting system: every city starts out with -10,000 points. Every person who votes adds 1 point to the total. A planner is worth 10,001 points. Every planner after the first is worth 1 point. If no cities pass 0, lulzcon will be cancelled.

Seems to me like we just had a lulzcon, and the amount of actual ed users that showed up was pathetic. Oh and the amount of ed users that promised to "help" and "take care of stuff" was higher, but most to all of them flaked out. It blows my mind that you think that you can maintain the momentum throughout the next year to get something like this together, let alone get all of the logistical issues ironed out. I gave up offering my help in a bunch of areas (including team managers delegating help in various areas so GV and you wouldn't have to take it all on your shoulders) even tho I couldn't afford the trip. And I have three people very pissed at me for not getting back to them on Lulzcon related activities in Chicago (that had been discussed) and a T-shirt manufacturer in LA. Speaking as a former road manager, poor planning is as much to blame as poor attendance and communication sucks around here, cos many good ideas fell into a black hole never to pulled out.   • Encyclopedia Dramatica could hold a panel at other conventions that are related to the lulz. It's cheaper and probably just as effective.
